As
I think back on this past week my heart is just full of gratitude. Even though we’ve been here in Nauvoo for over
a year, I still stop a lot and think to myself, ‘I can’t believe we’re actually
here!’ We are here, walking the same
streets on our evening walks that Joseph and Emma walked. We are here, spending time in the temple,
remembering the dedication of pioneers who gave all they had to build their
Nauvoo Temple. We are here, witnessing
the same beautiful sunsets that Brigham, and John, and Wilford did. We are here
to share their stories, their unwavering testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. And we are here to share our own
testimonies. What could be better? It’s just difficult to put into words how
grateful we are to be on the Lord’s errand in such a holy place. It has truly been a gift and it all spurs me
to increase my own discipleship. To be
more devoted, to be more holy, and to be more Christlike.

Takes my breath away. |

I spy with my little eye...a white beacon on a hill. |

The flooding has receded a bit along the Mississippi River. |
|
I'll never get enough of this view. |

The flowers at the Sarah Granger Kimball home
with the barn in the background. |

The newest additions to Historic Nauvoo,
right along Main Street. |

A very quiet, peaceful and rainy day at Pioneer Pastimes. |
